A Look at Epic Dreams
Unveiling Epic Dreams
I’ve spoken with many dreamers who’ve expressed frustration at only remembering fragments of their dreams or not remembering their dream at all. This can be a problem when you want to explore the mystery your dream presents. Although there are no sure fire ways to make yourself start having dreams, there are steps you can take to create a dream environment that welcomes epic dreams.
I define epic dreams as dreams given to us that communicate things of epic proportions such as a life’s calling or an answer to an immediate problem.
You may have read some of my past blog posts where I’ve mentioned honoring dreams. Treating your dreams like they are yet-to-be-discovered treasure is a great way to honor your dreams. Your attitude toward dreams is key.
If you wake up and put off making a record of the dream because you feel like its frivolous or meaningless, you could very well be closing a dream door. On the other hand, if you get up in the morning and make a record of your dream as if it’s a mystery sent to you in the night, your attitude will create an open dream door. This is one of the best ways to foster an environment to receive an epic dream.
While I’ve noticed that creative people often have long multi scene epic dreams, there are no rules that say that you can’t have one if you’re not a creative person. I know almost as many non-creative people who’ve had epic dreams. If you go to bed believing that anything’s possible in your dream life, and you can have just as many epic dreams as anyone else, that simple act of believing can also open the door to receive more. Just as in many other parts of life attitude is everything.
One last step you can take is to ask specifically for an epic dream. Just as you’re falling asleep whisper that you are open to and want an epic dream full of light from the Dreamgiver. Why be so specific? The simple answer is that when you want something specific you need to ask for something specific.
