Where Do Dreams Originate?
NASA’s Juno spacecraft recently captured breathtaking pictures of the planet Jupiter. I’ve spent some considerable time looking at them, and I’ve gotta say, Jupiter is my new favorite planet — besides earth, of course. But as amazing as Jupiter is up close, I wouldn’t want to visit it any time soon. Jupiter is inhospitable to human life to say the least.
As I was contemplating Jupiter’s role in our solar system, I began to think how so many people are focused on the universe nowadays. I keep hearing things such as ‘trust in the universe’, ‘ask the universe’, and ‘the universe will tell you which direction to go’. If I’ve learned anything about the universe lately is that it is cold, harsh and indifferent to human beings; and very impersonal.
This, in turn, got me thinking that if the universe could actually give you a dream what would it be like? It only stands to reason that the dream would be characterized by inconceivably frigid temperatures, strong, destructive forces, and a whole lot of darkness. Although the universe contains bright hot burning stars, it’s vastness is filled with light years of darkness and emptiness. As for me, I wouldn’t want a dream given by the universe. It sounds terrifying.
What sounds a whole lot better to me is a dream filled with encouragement, light and life. A dream that acknowledges where I’m currently at, yet looks ahead to the future to what I can and will become. These are the kinds of dreams that has the fingerprints of the dream Dreamgiver all over it.
The Dreamgiver has been communicating with human kind since ancient times, giving warnings, direction, even saving entire nations from starvation. Even in these modern times, the Dreamgiver is actively crafting meaningful dreams for people like you. So with all the dreams you’ve had in your life you may now be wondering if every dream you’ve had is the handiwork of the Dreamgiver. It is not.
Your dream life has three main influences — The Dreamgiver, dark entities, and you, the dreamer.
Dreams given by dark entities are characterized by varying levels of darkness and shadow, fear and dread, and death. They are the kinds of dreams you wake up from in the middle of the night knowing there is something evil in your bedroom ready to pounce in you at any second.
Dreams that originate from inside the dreamer are characterized by dim or muted colors, and lots of varying emotions.
Dreams given by the Dreamgiver are characterized by lots of bright light, and vibrant colors.
It’s not always easy to tell which of these sources your dreams are originating from. That’s why it’s wise to get input from others who are skilled at dream interpretation. One of the keys to understanding the source of your dreams is objectivity. Many times we’re just too close to what’s happening in our dreams to be objective.
If you’ve been plagued with dark or fearful dreams lately, or if you haven’t had much activity in your dream life, I challenge you to ask the Dreamgiver to give you a dream. Not just any dream. A dream that has significant meaning to your life. Most people don’t know that they can be intentional about their dreams. If you don’t like what’s happening in your dream life you can change what’s happening simply by being intentional.
So next time you find yourself looking to the universe remember there is a Dreamgiver who has been crafting very personal, and meaningful dreams for dreamers since ancient times. A few minutes while you are falling asleep each night is all it takes to shift your dream life from a mere occurrence to life changing potential.
