Purpose and Destiny

Purpose and Destiny

Spread the love

As I was contemplating about what I was going to write for the dream blog this week, I got to thinking how dreams are like the beginning of conversations. Many times they hint and elude to things that are not currently on our mind at the time we have a dream. A good example of this is having a dream about people or events that haven’t entered our minds for years, even decades. It’s as if the Dreamgiver is crafting a particular dream for a particular night to engage us in conversation about a certain aspect of something that’s been long forgotten in our conscious mind. Nearly every time this catches a dreamer off guard and it’s only natural for them to ask something like “What am I supposed to do with that?” when they wake up from the dream.

As is common with the stuff dreams are made of, the answer lies in simplicity. If someone walks up to us and engages us in conversation it’s only natural that we participate by responding to them. The same principle applies to dreams. If you, as a dreamer, begin to look at your dreams as the beginning of conversations then it would be natural for you to respond. When you lay down at night and your mind is winding down from everything that happened during the day, think of a recent dream you might have had and ask the Dreamgiver what else can be revealed to you on that same subject. Be open to having a ‘discussion’ about things that may may bother you, or things that you’ve been putting off dealing with for a long time.

Every person on the planet has a purpose and destiny! Sadly, not everyone knows what that purpose and destiny are. Dreams are vehicles that not only communicate problem or growth areas of our lives, but they often communicate purpose and destiny. all you have to do as a dreamer is pay attention to the dream, write it down and explore the possibilities of what it may be telling you.

If you awake from your dream with purpose and destiny in mind, dreams become vehicles of hope; of expectation. This changing of mind will allow you to look at your dreams with a newfound purpose. So if you, for example, have a dream where you’re walking around half naked in front of friends or family, or even worse, strangers, the hope you carry will cause you to dismiss thoughts that tell you to discard the dream. Even strangely bizarre things such as nakedness in dreams have a purpose in an overall dream story arc to help get you where you need to be.

Being able to look at your dreams differently starts with considering the fact that there may be more going on in them than simply your subconscious working through the matters of the day. That you, of all people have a purpose and destiny in this world and the answer to what that is could start with a dream you have tonight.
