Dream Dimensions
Dreams Reach Beyond the Dreamer
Many believe that dreams originate within the mind. When I embarked on my dream study, I was presented with overwhelming evidence that dreams originated outside the dreamer. I kept running into so many things within the dream that were bigger than the dreamer. The dreamer couldn’t possibly know these things, that I arrived at the only logical conclusion. Dreams are not bound by the logical human reality we all know. They reach beyond the natural. Dreams reach beyond the logical and beyond the dreamer.
Here’s a brief look at some dimensions where dreams exist which gives us a glimpse into how dreams are able to accomplish the impossible.
Height
This dimension allows you to fly, jump from one roof top to another, be high in a skyscraper, even ride elevators in your dreams. Some dreamers have even gone to the edge of space and looked down to observe something on earth. Since dreams are limitless, the possibilities of how you can move in this dimension are endless. Ever wonder how that can be? It’s possible because this, and every other dream dimension, are not bound by the limitations of our physical world. They take place, in part, in this first dimension that allows us to go high up in our dreams.
Depth
You encounter this dimension when you find yourself underwater, in a cave, or falling. in your dream. This is an amazing dimension because it not only allows for spatial depth but can reflect the depth of an issue as well. It’s because of this dimension that many times you’re unexpectedly confronted with an serious issue. I find this aspect of dreaming particularly interesting because of its access to our hearts. Because we can all experience depth in dreams, they are not shallow, as many believe, but reveal access to the deep things in life.
Breadth
A single dream can highlight a broad range of topics; serious issues of life, to warnings, to lighthearted ways of addressing character flaws that we’re unwilling to tackle. Many have this idea that dream work is kinda fun, and it would be entertaining to take a look at what a certain dream means. The thing about our dreams is they can often catch us off guard because we’re not used to thinking about them as a place where no topic is off limits. The breadth dimension of dreams allow for a wide reach.
Soul
This dimension encompasses our thoughts, our desires, and our emotions. In this forth dimension, our desires concerning certain issues can be so strong that we can cause dreams to be dreamed. What, then, does a soul dream look like? Soul dreams are often dreams where the dreamer marries someone they’re infatuated with. Relationship dreams are born this dimension, as well as dreams of passion.
Spirit
This is perhaps the deepest of the seven dimensions. This is where we connect with our calling, or purpose or some other aspect of our lives that give it meaning. I’ve woken up many times encouraged to keep pursing what I know I was put on this earth to do because of dreams born in the spiritual dimension. This can be one of the most misunderstood realms that we experience in our dreams, because dreamers have differing ideas of what a spirit realm can mean. This is where a dream interpreter comes in handy, to help distinguish the differences and nuances of this vastly important dimension.
Time
One of the most interesting, and yet confusing parts of dreams can be this aspect of time. We can time travel, finding ourselves in the company of people we are separated from in our waking lives. Alive or dead, it makes no difference, anyone can show up in a dream.
We can also find ourselves in a house we grew up in that’s been demolished long ago. The area of this realm that has been confusing to me has been how to interpret the people who have passed on. Are these really the spirits of those people appearing in my dream, or are they representing something like an office they held or the relationship they played in my life? These questions began to get cleared up for me as I became more practiced in interpretation. I can tell you one thing for certain when it comes to this sixth dream dimension. Few things catch my attention like finding myself in a time where I don’t belong or interacting with people who have died.
Light
Again, fascinating! The amount of light that shows up in your dream sets the stage for the mood, tone, just about everything in your dream. If there’s an abundant of light and color you may wake up from the dream feeling refreshed or in a great mood. If there’s little to no light and color, you may wake up feeling terrified or depressed. Light plays a huge part in our nightly dream experiences in more ways than i can discuss here- from the presence of color, to all the shades of color, to the intensity of color, as well as different aspects of peace or fear.
Just A Glimpse
I’m obviously unable to give the attention to each of these dimensions that they deserve. Why would I crack open such big ideas when I know i have limited space to discuss them? For this simple reason: it gives you a glimpse into aspects of dreams you may have never thought of before. Hopefully your curiosity is aroused, and that leads you into a desire for more. It is my desire to understand more about dreams that caused me to search out dreams that contained keys to my destiny. It is my hope that you have a similar experience.
