Best of The Dream Blog

dream blog review
Spread the love

I learn so much about dreams every year that it’s easy to forget some of what I learn.  A few of you follow this blog closely, but others are only able to catch up with the dream blog once or twice a month. For those of you who have not been able to catch every blog, I offer a review of the things I’ve learned about dreams over the course of this last year.

Dreams are anchored in the spiritual world more than I originally believed.

In a blog post, I did earlier this year, I wrote about a woman who had a NDE (Near Death Experience). She left her body in the middle of the night and heard all kinds of people talking really loudly. She thought it was strange that her apartment was quiet only a few moments before. Then, as she saw her husbands dream unfolding, she realized that the noise was coming from the dreams of the people sleeping in the large apartment building around her. For those of us who believe in life after death, this gives dreams a great spiritual feel.

A twist on shared dreaming

I found out this year that the dream realm is way more unlimited than I first imagined. A while ago I wrote a blog about two people living on opposite ends of the same city dreaming about the same thing the same night. ( Here’s a link to that blog post if you want to check it out  https://www.equitisbic.com/shared-dreaming/

A few days ago I stumbled across something even more amazing. Two dreams of two people who lived on opposite ends of the country were so alike, that they could almost be mistaken as the same dream.  There were only a few minor differences. After discovering such a thing could happen, my mind is totally blown. Dreams are way more unlimited than I first imagined!

Abnormal Behaviors that Accompany Sleep

We all know about and have most likely experienced insomnia, but what about other sleeping disorders?  Did you know that a teenage girl climbed atop a 300 foot crane in her sleep? How about the guy who has no artistic talents while he’s awake but creates art while he is sleeping? I tackled Parasomnia in a blog I write just last October. Here’s a link to that blog if you’ve missed it. https://www.equitisbic.com/parasomnia/

 Night Trances

I talked to a lot of interesting dreamers when I went to a Steam Punk Convention last March.  One of the most interesting was a woman who had night trances. Night Trances are defined as visual experiences that often happens when a dreamer’s eyes are open and their body is unable to move because of sleep paralysis. Anyway, this dreamer found that there were many intruders in her bedroom at night when she was asleep.  Read about her night trance experiences here https://www.equitisbic.com/unveiling-night-trances/

Although I’ve found myself learning many things from dreamers every time we chat about dreams, these were only some of the memorable experiences I’ve encountered last year. I hope to encounter many more in the coming year.
