Age Reversal — An Ageless Dream

Dreams are timeless. This element is inherent to dreams and makes all kinds of things possible such as age reversal. The dream I share in this blog is a prime example of how an ageless dream can communicate a truth.

It’s natural for a dreamer to conclude that their dreams reveal things about their lives. A lot of times they’re right. It’s common for dreams to reveal things about a dreamer’s vocation, relationships, even their spiritual lives. What many dreamers don’t know is that it’s not uncommon for dreams to reveal things about others in their lives.

  Here’s the dream:

I’m walking around an airport with my brother who was his current adult age. Then, suddenly he ran into a restaurant and as he did, he changed into a little boy of about three years old. The dreamer looked down and saw they were holding their brother’s cell phone.

  End of dream

When the dreamer told me the dream they described the airport and the restaurant as full of light.  They also said their primary emotion was concern that they didn’t want to lose track of their brother in his three year old state.

There are several clues in this dream that lead to hidden meanings.

The first clue that leads to meaning is the setting. The dream takes place in an airport and a restaurant inside the airport. In order to figure out what these two symbols mean we’ve got to break them down to their most basic meanings.

An airport is a place you go in preparation to take off to a higher place. When you’re in an airport you haven’t left the ground yet, but it’s not far away. Flying in a dream is often a metaphor for leaving earthbound things and accessing spirituality. Restaurants are a place you get food.  These two metaphors fit together nicely because of the idea of spiritual nourishment.

The next clue is the age reversal of the dreamer’s brother. The idea here is his younger self, or better said, his younger state, is hungry and goes running to a place that serves food. You must first have a hunger for spiritual things before you will pursue them. Neither the dreamer nor their brother is flying in the dream, but are in a place of “preparation” the entire dream, this dreamer in context, is speaking of a time of spiritual preparation.

The third clue is the cell phone and the emotions. The dreamer feels concerned and they didn’t want to lose track of their brother.

As it turns out, the dreamer is quite a spiritual person. They’ve spent the majority of their life pursuing and developing their spirituality while their brother pursued earthy endeavors. Within the last 3 years or so this brother decided to begin pursuing spiritual things. That’s why he goes through an age reversal in the dream.

Lastly, the phone represents prayer. The reason the dreamer has the phone is because a three year old has to be shown how to use a cell phone, just as a growing spiritual person needs to be shown how to pray.  Cell phones represent prayer many times because they send and receive their signals in the heavens.

The way this dream uses age reversal to communicate that the dreamer’s brother needs to guided in his spirituality like a child is quite a remarkable and memorable way to communicate truth.

Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well,
almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it.
    Too cool!
